Each 2.75x4" stiff paper card reads "Captain Midnight Flight Patrol." The first with black bkg. is from 1939. Text names card holder "Junior Pilot In The Captain Midnight Flight Patrol And Is Entitled To All Patrol Privileges...To Wear The Captain Midnight Flight Patrol Badge And Participate In Patrol Activities." The badge referenced comes along and it is a 2" long propeller-shaped badge with lower segment showing sponsor's name "Skelly." A piece of litmus paper should be on reverse of badge but this is missing. Badge o/w has nice luster and card is clean although with upper right corner crease. Also coming along is the card for 1940. Same idea as previous but text here reads "Entitled...To Carry The Captain Midnight Flight Patrol Medal Of Membership." Card has 3 punches on left margin and card back is numbered 1 through 12, these punches were done by Skelly gas station attendants as child fulfilled club duties. The Medal of Membership is a 1.25" brass medal with N. Mint luster. There are several die varieties of this medal and this is the version with a tiny dot below the tip of the "Skelly" diamond logo on the reverse. Both cards have name of identical female recipient. Cards are Fine to VF and the premiums are VF to Exc.
