One of the great all-time ring designs with no text but attributed to Captain Marvel c. 1946. Also seen twice on a jobber's store card with title "Radio Patrol Ring." This ring and its container came from an original owner who stated that he received the ring in this mailing canister. However, while keeping mailers for this and other rings he received he also removed the mailing labels. Canister is 1-11/16" dia. with stiff cardboard sides and tin top and bottom standing 2.5" tall. Light general age but no damage. The ring is a beautiful example. Light luster flashing off the lower narrow bands but vast majority remains on the upper two-thirds along with vast majority of the red and black bkg. paint surrounding 3 lightning bolt designs plus a pair of simulated dials. Top center has working compass under a glass cover. Overall extremely Fine with top area of the ring displaying N. Mint.
