Item Description
24.5x69x45" tall ride with 13" tall base and 89" long fiberglass Batmobile. Produced in 1966 to capitalize on the Batmania craze of the time. Batmobile closely resembles the 1 designed by George Barris for use on the 1966 Batman TV show. 7.25x11.75" coin box takes quarters, causing Batmobile to drive in an up and down manner. Works. All original, though base has been re-painted and has had additional support added to its interior. Batmobile retains original paint job, these are usually found re-painted. Realisitcally detailed with headlights, grills, "glowing" air intakes, cooling towers and jet exhaust. Batsymbols on doors. Base shows scattered wear as to be expected with a ride of this type. Coin box has some wear including some traces of oxidation which does not affect operation at all. Batmobile itself shows only small scattered traces of wear from use, including some small paint chips to corners and high points. Bit of oxidation to steering wheel hub. Batmobile remains bright and glossy, rarely found this nice. Could easily become the highlight of any Batman collection.
