Item Description
8.5x11" fanzine Vol. 1, #4 published in 1933 and was edited by Jerry Siegel with art by Joe Shuster, later co-creators of Superman. Magazine features articles on the 1933 World's Fair, a review of the new film King Kong as well as various science fiction-themed stories. 20 pages reportedly mimeographed on a machine at Siegel & Shuster's high school. Pages have been stapled together, last page partially loose. Aging to margins of covers with a few tiny chips at edges. Fine- overall. Only 5 issues of this fanzine were printed in a very limited print run. A complete set of the 5 issues sold in the last year for $17,500. Great early Siegel & Shuster content.
