8.5x11" © 1931 Correll & Gosden. On "Fresh Air Taxi Cab Company of America" simulated letterhead that includes image of Amos and Andy at top left. Text by Amos in his dialect makes reference to Andy holding a stockholders meeting, company budget, etc. and closes w/mention of them looking into purchasing a new Oldsmobile. Has facsimile signature plus list of "Officers" from bookkeeper to president, all of which happen to be Andy. Lower right has imprint of "Hedges-Rayfield Motor Co., Chicago, Ill." We have seen similar letters for Ford and Chevrolet but this has totally different art/text and is the first we've seen of this particular letter in our 41 years. Obvious wear and aging, especially to margins, lt. wear along fold lines. VG.
