Timely/Marvel Comics. Summer, 1943. Classic anti-Japanese cover features Human Torch and Toro, Human Torch melting the flesh off the arm of a Japanese swordsman as bound redhead screams. Inset portrait shows Sub-Mariner knocking together caricatured head of Tojo and Nazi soldier. Cover by Schomburg. Issue features Human Torch and Sub-Mariner stories. 2" spine split at bottom with moderate foxing at top and bottom of spine. Bottom right-hand corner of front cover shows dust soiling/aging. First interior page has aging/dust soiling along right-hand margin. Good/VG. Classic timely/Marvel Golden Age issue.
