5-3/8x8.5", 32-page "How Comic Strips Are Made - Why They Have An Enormous Influence On American Thought And Costume" written by Russ Winterbotham and published by Haldeman - Julius Publications ©1946. Pamphlet gives history of comic strips/comic books with brief section devoted to Superman. Pro-comic publication. Lt. handling wear/aging. Fine-. 6x9", 84-page "Final Report Of The Special Crime Study Commission On Juvenile Justice" pamphlet published by the state of California on Jun. 30, 1949. Pamphlet deals with juvenile crime and rehabilitation as well as various aspects of juvenile delinquency. Just 5 years after this pamphlet was published, Dr. Frederic Wertham's "Seduction Of The Innocent" book would create shockwaves in the comic book world for their supposed link to juvenile delinquency. Pamphlet has moderate aging with surface paper lifts/insect damage to surface paper along right and bottom margins of front cover. VG.
