Item Description
7.5x15" herald printed for Jun. 25, 1966 concert at Shea Stadium. "Adam 'Batman' West" starred in a spectacular 2-1/2 hour show with Frank "The Riddler" Gorshin, Young "Good Lovin'" Rascals, The Detroit Sound, The Batusi Girls, Jr. Walker and The All-Stars, The Temptations, Chiffons, Shades of Blue, Skitch Henderson and his orchestra. Lightly printed photo image of Batman behind text with batsymbol. This herald was printed in conjunction with the Long Island Railroad and has half of herald reserved for schedules and fares. Hole punched at top for hanging as made. Horizontal folds at center. N. Mint. 8.5x11" sheet was meant to be folded into 4-page handbill and features bw photo image of Adam West as Batman, handbill goes on to list other performers and lists "Batman Helmets Provided By Ideal Toy - Batman Tee Shirts Provided By Allison Manufacturing Co." Lt. aging. Exc. Of interesting note - back of handbill lists Aug. 13 Bob Dylan concert which never came to pass due to Dylan's motorcycle accident. Final piece in lot is 1.5x6.25" unused "Press" ticket for this event. Perforation is fragile but ticket is complete with only lt. aging. Exc. Original press ticket. Rare assortment.
