Item Description
8.5" long not counting attached wire and remote control. Line Mar. ©1949 F.A. Syndicate. Painted tin car with shield-shaped emblems on each side with Tracy profile and "Dick Tracy" name and copyright information. Plastic-covered green cord is attached from back of car to steering box that holds batteries. All functions (forward, backward, steering, lights) work. Lt. spots of oxidation to siren-shaped light fixture on roof of car and around windshield. A few pinpoints of oxidation to grille. Missing 2 hubcaps, split to plastic covering on wire. Fine. A variety of differently designed and different sized Dick Tracy police cars were produced. From the Carl Lobel Collection.
