Lot of 19 china plates, five 7" dia., two 8" dia., eleven 9" dia. and one 12.25" dia. platter. Makers include D.E. McNicol and Edwin M. Knowles China Co. (8 in series of "Star Players Photo Co." series). c. 1920. Plates feature nice sepiatoned images of silent film actors and actresses of the day with color tints added to cheeks and lips. Facsimile signatures appear below images. Some stars include - Marguerite Snow, Lottie Pickford, Clara Kimball Young, Blanche Sweet, Alice Brady, Maurice Costello, Lillian Walker, Francis X. Bushman, etc. Two duplicate Ethel Clayton All-Star plates, scattered aging and wear, some plates have typical craze lines. All Fine overall. From scarce set.
