Item Description
9" dia. by 12" tall. c. 1940s. A nice star spangled design with 1776 patriotic image on cardboard head. Lt. surface dust on top and one side. Comes with white rope cord and un-folded flap to hold the two triangular-shaped cardboard 14" long drumsticks. Drum with sticks appears to have had little/no use. Comes with original packing carton from ECA Toys Inc., Chicago. Stamped on box is shield-shaped notation "For Victory/Save And Sell The Empty Carton." This WWII era message explains why the drum/sticks are made of cardboard/not metal. Carton remains sturdy/true to original form. Noticeable surface dust. Box VG. Toy displays VF.
