Vol. 1, #1 from Oct., 1933. Popular Publications Inc. This issue is the first appearance of popular pulp hero The Spider, the "Master Of Men!" Great cover featuring criminals caught in spider web as The Spider's hand (complete with Spider ring) pulls at them. "The Spider Strikes" story by R.T.M. Scott. Usual and typical cover overlap wear. Cover has heavy vertical crease with 1" tear at bottom. 1.5x2" faint area of moisture staining on title though this is not noticeable unless closely viewed. VG. Listed in "Bookery's Guide To Pulps & Related Magazines" at $875 in VG condition. Rare and one of the most sought after pulps.
