Item Description
21x29" tan paper poster mounted on linen and under glass in metal edge frame. Bold slogan center top is "With McKinley And Protection We Shall Have More Employment, More Work And More Wages." While below 27 years of protection is credited with public debt reduction while 3 years of free trade (under Cleveland) increased debt by millions. Surrounded by 15 cartoon vignettes that support the protection concept favored by McKinley. Subjects include closed factory "Gone Democratic," four quotes by Bryan favoring free trade, prosperity vs. ruin, etc. Couple tiny areas of missing paper on center right and a sliver off bottom left corner. Still, poster is 98% complete. A rarity graphically showing the intensity associated with this economic issue in 1896. Clean and VF.
