Item Description
Both licensed by 1939 New York World's Fair and feature Trylon and Perisphere on box tops. First is 2x10.5x1" deep tavern candles. Silver luster label notes "Hand Dipped/Socony Vacuum Oil Co." Repeat surface paper on box reads "Tavern Candles" and shows illustration of Pegasus on hanging service station sign. Scattered lt. wear. Ink notations on box. Fine. Candles each have 2" tall applied Trylon and Perisphere. Light scuffs but unused and VF. Second is 3.75x8x2.25" deep box. Text reads "World's Fair Souvenir Candle." Noticeable surface dust/aging to box. .5" tear on box side. Box maintains original shape. VG. Dimensional candle has st. warp. "1939 New York" painted raised text appears on Perisphere. Candle VF. Both are Scarce.
