3.5x3" overall. c. mid-1800s. Hinged case with spring-loaded closure. 1.75x2-3/8" oval on case front has reverse painted image of lady with low-cut top. Tan bkg. flaking. Does not affect image. Oval tintype in case shows soldier posed with little girl holding flowers. Edge flakes along outer margin do not affect clarity of subject's features. Back of case with worn fabric. Plush finish of case mostly missing. Case Good. Reverse glass image VG. Tintype VG.
