Pair issued to benefit United China Relief c. 1942. First is what appears to be an ad proof 8.5x11.75" on stiff glossy paper. Features design of Hop Low set against a "V" and on either side are Donald wearing sailor's cap and Mickey wearing soldier's helmet. Facsimile Walt Disney signature below along with text "Give Today To United China Relief." Bottom margin has ink stamp notation "New Yorker Jun. 6, 1942." Back is ad for Lockheed Aircraft. Exc. Second item is 1.5x4.5" flattened matchbook cover featuring similar text and image of Hop Low. Reverse is unused contribution blank for membership in the "United China Relief Hop Low Club" noting contribution would result in obtaining a "Official Emblem." This refers to the very rare pinback button featuring Hop Low. Lightly aged. VF.
