Item Description
12" tall and the smaller of two dolls (also produced in 16" tall size). 1930s. Stuffed body with composition shoes, nicely designed outfit that includes hat, neckerchief and chaps. Has oilcloth eyes and string whiskers, missing rubber tail. Comes with 1 of 2 original cast metal guns. In Auction #194 we offered the same size doll but with totally different style chaps that were wool-covered whereas these are suede with remnants of animal fur accents on sides. Underside of one foot has rarely seen label which shows just the slightest trace of aging but remains complete and firmly intact. Small traces of insect damage to ears including one 1/8" hole. Moderate all-over aging including tan spotting of the face. Composition shoes show only small trace of wear to undersides but do not exhibit the typical paint wear and crazing. Overall still a very nice example of this classic Mickey doll. Fine. The similar doll we offered in Auction #194 sold for over $1,900. From the Deak Stagemyer Collection.
