Item Description
1.25" real photo without dot pattern. Back of button has hand-inked paper from the time noting that she was "First Lady To Cross The Atlantic." This occurred in 1928 when she flew with pilots Wilmer Stultz and Louis Gordon but solely as a passenger. In 1932 she eventually accomplished her goal of flying solo across the Atlantic. This button is probably from her return celebrations and the events held in her honor which included Congressional award of Distinguished Flying Cross. Right side has very trivial slight indent line in the celluloid as the button was made and it causes no problem other than showing a bit in reflected light. Surface is actually close to Mint as made. Rare.
