Item Description
Earliest in this group is from 1962 picturing "Astronaut John Glenn." He made America's first manned orbital space flight and the slogan on the button references John Kennedy "The New Frontier" and names Glenn "Man Of The Year." Reverse has 3/16" hairline cello split but it lays flat and the front still displays Mint. The other buttons from 1969 include 1.75" with ribbon "First Man On The Moon." There is a 3" with "Epic Journey" slogan and a 3.5" with the same slogan. This one has a little spot of white on the bottom blue panel as made. The other 3.5" is inscribed for "Cape Kennedy." The two rarest in the group are 3.75" rectangles. The first shows the three men on the mission and the second shows the Lunar Lander about to touch down with the famous words of Neil Armstrong "That's One Small Step For Man One Giant Leap For Mankind." This has just a little yellow tone in a .25" area at the bottom right. Except as noted, all pieces display clean and Mint.
