This watch is unusually large with a 1.5" dia. brass finished front case. Dial has tiny "©Disney" along far right side. Shown is Mickey seated on a stool looking at his own image in a mirror while he paints the image of his creator Walt Disney. His name appears in the lower right corner of the canvas he is painting on "Mickey Mouse." Watch has worn original leather bands. Case back has pinpoint oxidation and small bit of metal pitting but all this is on the reverse and not evident from the front. Watch back has center text "Disney Artwear." In addition, the case back is inscribed "Japan Mvt./Water Resistant/Base Metal Bezel/Stainless Steel Back." One of the earlier watches to operate by means of a quartz battery. Watch is in running condition. Overall shows use but the front rim and dial remain totally clean. Watch was once owned and worn by famous "Disney Legend" character merchandise designer Al Konetzni, most famous for creating the Disney Schoolbus lunchbox. Only example we've seen and probably c. late 70s.
