Item Description
1930s by Noble & Cooley who produced many different Mickey toy instruments. We have seen this drum in 2 sizes and this is the larger version, 9.5" dia. and 6.5" tall (smaller version is 5.25" tall). Tin litho body with linen-like fabric drum heads. Nice wrap-around scene featuring Mickey and Minnie, Donald, Horace, Clarabelle and Pluto who has a large "Mickey Mouse Band" drum strapped to his back. Has original string binding and die-cut leather accent pieces. Drum heads have moderate dust soiling/aging but no tears/splits. Tin body has all-over scattered trace of wear and aging including paint nicks and scratches, small indents. Still retains a glossy appearance with strong color. VG. Scarce.
