1.25" in patriotic World War II era colors depicting the comic book character who first appeared in Science Comics, 1940. He had 4 issues of his own in 1941/1942 and this button was issued at that time for club membership. Members were known as "American Eagle Defenders" which is the text appearing on this button. Surface has many but very fine hairline scratches hardly even visible in reflected light and largely just showing with magnification. Button is extremely Fine and to the naked eye still displays totally clean and Mint. One of only 2 we've seen over 4 decades.
