Ring has a 1.25" dia. solid band with large opening at center so any finger easily fits through it with the knuckle providing stability. Top is domed, unpainted metal for pounding on a front door. Rest of the ring is finished in gold over the aluminum with raised inscription around the lower edge of the top reading "49 Calls Per Day." Tiniest bit of gold color loss but still Exc. and a rarely seen relic from the days of vacuum cleaner and Fuller Brush salesmen.
