Auction #197 - Part II
Item numbers 992 through 2667 in auction 197
Item Description
Lot of three, each beautifully painted and glazed ceramic, each about 4.5" tall. Underside of each marked "Vernon Kilns U.S.A." along with 1940 copyright and each has different incised number. Unicorn in seated position is #14. Front edge of base has .25x.75" sliver of material missing although with glaze over this so it appears to be an unfortunate factory-produced defect. One satyr is #2 in pose with hands on upper legs. The other is #6 depicted holding his pan flute. Both have a single tiny chip from bottom rim edge. All 3 pieces still remain totally bright and glossy for display.
