Item Description
4" long by 2" tall painted and japanned tin. Early 1900s. This interesting toy is incised at end of whistle tube "Made In France." Has great early airship design with suspended basket. This is attached to whistle tube and air hole in middle of tube creates sound and revolves japanned tin propellers. These have about 70% of japanning present. Tube itself has about 25% but bare metal has aged to a nice patina. An interesting and scarce toy not pictured in the penny toy book.
