Item Description
5x8.5x4.25" deep textured paper-covered cardboard with snap closure on front. Eagle Pencil Co. ©1930. Top features Frank Buck portrait plus scene of Buck with elephants. Bottom panel features 2 scenes with title "Frank Buck Traps And Subdues A Man-Eating Tiger." Top and bottom side panels feature total of 8 different animal illustrations. Interior paper covering is in 2 shades of green and includes map of Australia and Asia. Has divided storage tray with separate slide-out tray containing original Eagle contents of ruler and 4-page folder "How To Draw Cartoons By Chuck Thorndike." Interior map surface has scattered trace of aging, green color and outside has slight fade, mostly on top and top side panels but all maroon/silver color is bright and intact. VF. Sriking design.
