Item numbers 992 through 2667 in auction 197
Item Description
6" long toy has wooden platform and handle. Wheels are cast metal. Boy riding toy has original clothes, wooden boots and celluloid face and arms. Unmarked as to country of origin or manufacturer but due to styling, materials and highly detailed celluloid boy's face, probably German. 1920s or before. Toy has built-in key and when wound moves forward as the boy moves up and down pushing the handle. Wooden platform has wear to the original finish on top and bottom. Boy's clothes are a little dusty and the flocking on his hat is mostly gone but remainderhas aged to a Fine appearance. Celluloid parts are Exc. Overall Fine for this interesting early toy.
