Item Description
14x20x3.5" box contains all tin litho toy including Union Station base and a 10.5" long 3-section train with original key. 1950s. Corrugated box with nice illustration in green of toy on top has few light water stains. Still tight and displays VF. Back of box also lists numbers and types of additional toys company was making at the time including several Disney ones. Also included are some inner wrapping pieces including corrugated sleeve for train and several braces to protect the station roof during shipping. Nicely designed base includes train track design and scenic views with mountains, landscapes, etc. plus 2 illustrations of the train. The building at center includes text on roof "Union Station Trains To All Points." Illustrations on buildings' sides depict busy train station activity w/many people, vehicles, etc. Train works and travels around both the inner and outer tracks while going through the station itself through one arch and out another hence the "Mystery Action." Train has a few scattered pinpoint paint nicks as produced. Track and rest of base shows little use. Exc. A colorful and graphic toy in a nicely designed box.
