Item Description
6.25x8.25" hardcover w/dust jacket and 52 full color comic pages reprinting Felix's adventures in Mother Goose Land from Sunday comic strips w/2 panels to the page. Wonderful specialty art on inside front cover shows Felix coming down rainbow and greeting Mother Goose characters while inside back cover shows him waving goodbye to angry jungle animals. Cover shows Felix beating drum, leading parade of tin soldiers and animal characters w/children's blocks next to road. Published by Henry Altemus Company. ©1931 Pat Sullivan. Although unsigned, all art is by Felix's creator Otto Messmer. Dust jacket shows obvious wear w/pieces missing at bottom of spine and 2" tear to front. Good. Cover has 1.5" and 2.5" splits at spine, but is o/w Fine. Interior pages remain bright and clean. VF/Exc. overall. One of the nicest early Felix books ever done. Rare, especially w/dust jacket.
