At that time the show was being carried on only 5 stations and the offer was made 7 times. NBC was astonished by 60,000 requests and this button premium offer inspired Colgate, Continental Baking, Ovaltine and Mars Candy to quickly sign on as show sponsors. A few months later Howdy was re-designed to the more familiar look we know today. Upper left has a single very faint gray dot of little consequence and all else is essentially Mint as issued.
