Miniature brown plastic television set 1.5" across and about .5" deep. Front center has viewing lens in the screen area and this is held to light. Interior holds circular disk of film which is turned and shows 5 scenes each with a full color portrait of the character. The first shows him and reads "Howdy Doody," the others show the portrait only, without name. These are Clarabell, Mr. Bluster, The Princess and Flub-A-Dub. Undoubtedly a premium although we don't know the sponsor. c. 1950, around the same time this style TV viewer was being used as an item associated with Tom Mix and Hopalong Cassidy. Film scenes have some white hairlines on the bkg. area but no color loss. Rare and VF.
