Item Description
Lot of four 11x16" thin cardboard signs used to promote "Modern Screen" and "Modern Romances" magazines. Each features magazine cover design for Sep., Jul. (2 different) and Aug. although years are not indicated but c. 1930s. All feature choice full color art by Earl Christy, one showing Olivia deHavilland licking peppermint stick. Others show actresses Madeleine Carroll, Isa Miranda and Lya Lys. All bear Christy's facsimile signature at bottom left or right corners. Lt. scattered margin wear w/one "Modern Romances" having 1/8" chip to upper right corner. Overall Exc.
