Pair of 9.25x12.25" publications, both New England Editions. Aug. 21, 1940 issue notes upcoming features for 1940-1941, special note of Univeral Pictures "The Mummy's Hand, Junior G-Men, The Invisible Woman," W. C. Fields classic "The Bank Dick" and special section on "The Green Hornet Strikes Again" serial starring Warren Hull and Keye Luke. Hull is shown in costume, complete w/Green Hornet full face mask. Rest of publication focuses on entertainment text and theater management. Cover is loose from marjority of spine but still attached. Tape repairs to top and bottom of spine. VG w/Fine contents. Dec. 22, 1943 issue features Leo the M-G-M Lion as Santa Claus. Bob Hope and Bing Crosby are featured on one page. Two-page centerfold for Columbia serial "The Phantom" starring Tom Tyler. Great action scene showing The Phantom punching man as his pet wolf Devil attacks. Cover is mostly detached from spine but still present, first page separate from binding but included. Heavy wear along spine. Good w/VF contents.
