Item Description
Lot of 3 scarce 1930s aviation premium papers. 4x9.25" "Phantom Pilot Patrol Secret Code" on stiff paper issued by Langendorf Bakers. 1" moisture stain at bottom right corner, .5" tear along upper right margin. Fine. 8x9.25" "Hop Harrigan-AOC-All American Comics" membership certificate has "AOC" wings at top and "Hop Harrigan All American Flying Club" wings at lower left. Issued in 1940. Certificate has been filled out in proper places by recipient in pencil which has been gone over in ink, 3 horizontal folds and 1 vertical. Archival tape repair to reverse of 1.5" tear at top center margin, 1/8" piece missing in upper left. VG. 8.5x11" "Skyroads Flying Club" advancement letter names strip's creators Lestor Maitland as Flight Commander and artist Dick Calkins as Adjutant. Letter dealt w/how to get Skyroads Captain insignia. Multiple fold lines. VG/Fine overall.
