Item Description
10.5x15x1” deep box contains Whitman #2934 set #1. c. early 1940s. Set originally consisted of four 10.25x14.5” jigsaw puzzles, 3 of the 4 are present here. Each puzzle is complete. Box lid on each puzzle has very vivid and active superb color warfare art all by artist Alex Schomburg except one puzzle by his mother August Schomburg. One puzzle repeats box lid scene minus the lid inscription text block. Pair of 1” tears to top and bottom side panels of lid. Light edge wear. Fine+. Puzzles themselves are Exc./N. Mint.
