Item Description
This is just the third Christmas card issued by the Studio (the first being issued in 1930). 4.75x8.75” mailer card on textured paper opens to 8.75x11.5”. As folded/mailed, front has postmark and inked address of “Fox Theatre Napa California." Opposite side as folded and mailed has an attached 1.75” tall Mickey Mouse Christmas sticker depicting him with tree. This is by Hall Bros. and used to keep the card sealed, split across center as originally opened. Card interior has choice 4x8” tipped-in paper sheet with scene of a horse-drawn carriage containing Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Pluto, Horace and Clarabelle. Top die-cut tab has Christmas tree design, bottom flap has imprint reading “Walt Disney And Mickey Mouse Present Their Silly Symphony/Season’s Greetings.” Outside of card has just lt. scattered trace of dust soiling/aging. Interior of card remains clean. Card itself is VF while tipped in sheet is NM. Among the rarest and most desirable Disney Studio cards further enhanced by the fact it was mailed to one of the theaters that sponsored a Mickey Mouse Movie Club.
