Item Description
Large 3x9" black on pale blue silk. Issued by the Native American Republican Association or "Know-Nothing" movement which aimed to intimidate Catholics and alert Protestants to an "Alien Menace." Liberty figure with flag holds oval portrait of Washington and caption "Beware Of Foreign Influence" and resting on "Holy Bible." Five extremely fine hairline creases between .5" and 1" but all is totally clean. Rare and N. Mint.
