Auction #198 Part I
Item numbers 1-499 in auction 198
Item Description
This ring was first issued in 1934 by the Pulp magazine and then again in 1941 as a movie premium to promote "The Spider Returns." This ring is the 1941 issue as the inner band carries not only the trademark of the maker Uncas but also the inscription "Made In U.S.A." Many manufacturers during this time period added the "USA" notation to their items to designate that the items were not being produced in Japan. All silver lutser is off the non-adjustable ring base except there are nice silver highlights on the the backgrounds of the geometric accent on each upper side band. The red and black enamel on the ring top displays glossy and fully intact, although on extremely close inspection a couple near microscopic surface flakes of black enamel are off at the the upper corners. Ring band is just slightly distorted from perfect circular shape. Overall, VG, but with spider image area displaying Exc. under normal viewing. Scarce.
