Item Description
1.75" tall beautifully designed badge from program sponsored by Educator Biscuit Company c. 1934. Top has eagle with spread wings while lower portion represents a radio set with raised portrait at center of dial design accented by 8 lightning bolts. Rank at top is "Special Police Reporter." Magnificent bright luster and Mint. Rare in this condition. Comes with rarely seen 2.5" x 4.25" postmarked and hand addressed mailing envelope with name of show and Chicago return address. Envelope has noticeable aging but is intact. The "Official Press Card" is 2" x 4" while unsigned, text says "Charter Member" may submit news stories "at established rate of payment for acceptable items." Reverse tells pay rate and has "Reporter's" personal serial number. Card has couple small smudges and light general wear but quite clean and Fine. Rare seen complete premium package for the early radio news themed show.
