Top of arcade-style shooting gallery reads “National Defense Machine Gun Target Practice” and includes portrait of soldier, aviator and sailor plus tank, planes and ship. Target bkg. features detailed battle scene with charging soldiers, motorcycles, tanks, fighter planes and artillery. Top center has bell attachment target. On either side of this are total of 5 different double-sided, die-cut cardboard targets suspended by string. Each of these measures 1.5x2” long and include 2 parachuting soldiers and 2 different fighter planes. Base has 3 additional revolving tin targets. Gun is designed to fire BBs although none are included. Gun is mounted with swivel base to change direction of fire which is controlled by crank. One cardboard plane target has slight crease. Frame and platform ramp gun is attached to has small scattered traces of paint wear. Bkg. target itself shows very little wear. VF. A rare toy, especially complete with all the fragile cardboard targets. Exceptional design.
