Item Description
Approximately 8x9.5”. c. 1940s. Painted plaster. Recessed back to hold string ball. Hole for string at mouth. Hanging loop at top as produced. Woody Woodpecker is shown here as he first appeared, a more zany screwball character than the more familiar 1950s look most people know. See following item #1552. Aged with lt. wear to some paint. The only other time we offered this style, it sold for $2,200.
