Auction #183 - Part I
Item numbers 1 through 1290 in auction 183
Item Description
This is the rare c. 1950 version of this ring. It was issued first in 1941 either in brass or silvered brass by the American Specialty Co. of Lancaster, PA for selling seed packs or Christmas cards. This however, is the version made of aluminum with bright silver luster while his portrait area on the top is accented by golden brass luster. The issuer of this ring is unknown to us and it is only the second example we've seen. Side panels feature hat and lasso design with horseshoe. His full name appears around the side edges of the ring. Tiniest bit of gold luster off the raised areas of his hat brim, nose tip and shirt collar but vast majority remains and overall condition remains Exc. Rare.
