Item Description
A rare 1941 ring from Quaker Cereals with her Secret Guard "SG" initials on each side. Top has her portrait. Top edge has small raised piece of metal that once formed the anchor for a small magnifying glass in a brass frame. This piece is totally missing. All bright luster is off the ring but it still retains nice muted and clean brass finish with all details easily visible. Very tiny and minor bend on the outer prong where it overlaps the other at the bottom but both prongs overlap nicely and lay flat. Ring was offered very briefly in 1941 and had a 8/31/41 expiration date "Before Orphan Annie Comes Back On The Air Next Fall." Ring is in the Hake guide at $2,500 for N. Mint condition. This incomplete example with VG finish opens modestly.
