Auction #183 - Part I
Item numbers 1 through 1290 in auction 183
Item Description
1" tall die-cut figural brass pin with his name in three dimensional
letters and tiny word below "Copyright." Above his name is a 3-digit serial
number in red although only the first numerals "11" are distinct, while the
third numeral appears to be a "2" but only a dot of red color remains. Color
remains intact on the rest of the piece and it still has nice shiny luster
although on close inspection there are numerous very tiny scratches on the brass
luster area. For the most part, these are hardly noticeable without
magnification. Piece retains its all-over shine. Only the second example we've
seen and documented by a pressbook as being available to movie exhibitors to
promote the 1940 Superman cartoon from Fleischer Studios. Fine and
Rare.
