Item Description
9x10.25" "Popeye Book" is designed as wipe-off "Color And Re-Color" set and comes with supplied box of "Crayoffs." Book was published by Jack Built Toy Mfg. Co. ©1957 King Features Syndicate, Inc. Book was written by Tom Sims and Bill Zaboly. Book appears unused with staining to crayon box. VF/Exc. overall. 10.25x14.25x1.25" deep box contains "Popeye Oil Painting By Numbers T.V. Edition" boxed set by Hassenfeld Bros., Inc. ©1957 King Features Syndicate, Inc. Set contains 4 of 5 paint-by-the-numbers images, missing is one of four 4x5" paintings. One of these paintings has been partially painted using the 12 vials of pre-mixed oil paints contained on "Popeye" illustrated insert which holds original paint brush. Larger 10x11.75" paint page has moderate wear from use including some staining from coloring. VG-Fine contents overall. Box shows edge/corner tip wear but remains free of splits. Fine/VF. From the Tomart Archives and comes with COA signed by Tom Tumbusch and Ted Hake.
