Item Description
The first Disney Studio Christmas card was printed in 1930 (see item #1645). This is the second card from 1931. 5x7.5” on textured paper. Front reads “Yoo Hoo!” with small image of snow-covered house. Card opens to reveal text “The Season’s Greetings From The Walt Disney Studio/Mickey Mouse & Silly Symphony Cartoons.” A second text variety was also printed reading just “A Merry Christmas And A Happy New Year” and was personally used by Walt (see item #1616). Card interior also features images of holly leaves and berries around a candle along with a superb full color tipped-in paper sheet. This is 4x5.5” and depicts a nighttime Christmas caroling scene featuring Mickey and Minnie Mouse, Pluto, Horace and Clarabelle. Card has some scattered lt. handling creases but remains clean. Fine, while tipped-in picture is Exc. First time in our 43 years we have offered this text variety.
