Wonderful graphic portrait of youngster exposing his missing teeth with a smile between exaggerated ears. Portrait strongly suggests MAD Magazine’s Alfred E. Neuman of later generations. One of the 4 examples we’ve handled over 4 decades. None of the examples has had a backpaper and there is no maker’s name indicated on the curl. Celluloid has a couple of 1/8” exceedingly trivial scratches on the bridge of his nose which just show a trifle in reflected light. This is equal in condition to any of our other examples. The centering is essentially perfect and the color is bright with no fading and high gloss. Our last example back in Auction #191 well exceeded $1,200 with the buyer’s premium. A N.
