Item Description
6.5” long tin litho with celluloid pilot’s head and 3 clear plastic props on back. 1940s by Nikko and marked “Made In Occupied Japan.” Body of plane features cartoon aviator image on each side along with stars and moon with face. Top of wings feature Army Air Force insignia, underside has simulated retractable landing gear and letters “P.T.P.” Complete with built-in key and attached string. Works and as you hold the string plane flies around in a circle, rear props rotate, front prop manually operated. Scattered tiny paint nicks. VF. Scarce.
