Auction #199 - Part I
Item numbers 1 through 972 in auction 199
Item Description
This small series of 1.25” buttons c. late 40s is typically seen in English. The master button in the set shows a pair of fishermen seated in a canoe netting a fish while others in the series show illustrations of fishing flies. This is the first seen of the set with an inscription in French. Front reads “Ligue De La Sportsman.” Reverse has backpaper, about 50% with dark stain, having the Sportsman’s Pledge printed in French rather than in English. Other than the paper stain, celluloid remains totally clean and Exc. Rare.
