AFTER COMPLETION OF THE CATALOG, ORIGINAL BOX WAS FOUND/ADDED BY CONSIGNOR-DESCRIPTION UPDATED-PHOTO ADDED.
9.5” long tin litho toy with built-in key. 1950s by Suzuki & Edwards, Japan. Comes with box that features great art on all side of the lid. Artistic license was taking and a baby bear appears on the box but toy was never produced that way. Toy is complete as is. Box has light wear but remains bright and glossy. Few minor edge crease but tight and VF. Bear depicted in striped shirt and polka dot shorts. Complete with separate pair of tin oars. Boat has “2” markings including flag on front, sides depict waves. Movable rudder. Toy works and bear rows the boat. Scattered tiny paint nicks. Glossy and VF. Scarce toy with nice design and rarely seen box.
